Service to Industrial Park
The Town of Tarboro’s Industrial Park is served electricity from the Town of Tarboro, Electric Utilities. The park has the ability to be served from three different delivery points and from two transmission sources. This provides excellent reliability and capacity for development. The Town of Tarboro currently has capacity to meet 127 MW of electric load, while our system peak for FY 08 has only reached 70 MW.

New Service Announcement
NC Public Power's TempTracker 365 gathers, tracks and stores daily high and low temperatures in your area. With a click of a button, you can produce a monthly calendar showing temperatures for the last three years. It's a great way to see which days, weeks or months were extremely hot or cold, causing your heating or cooling system to run longer.

Electrical Car Charging Station
Need to recharge while visiting Tarboro?  The Town through a grant by the NC Dept. of Transportation installed a two car electric charging station for these type alternative vehicles.  Even better, is that it's completely free of charge.  The station is located behind the Tarboro Edgecombe Chamber of Commerce at 509 Trade Street (map).  Two parking spots are available to be used while charging.  It's simple, pullup, charge up, visit downtown and in no time you will be on your way.
