Household Waste:  Household waste is collected twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays or Tuesdays and Fridays on assigned collection days.  Household waste must be placed in the brown rollout container and placed at curbside prior to 7:00 a.m.

Place household waste in bags before placing in the brown container,  especially loose items such as charcoal, foods or other wet items.

Deceased animals should be placed in a plastic bag and put at the curb for pickup by the animal control officer. Please call 641-4235.

Yard Waste:  Yard waste is collected in all sections of town each Wednesday and must be placed at curbside prior to 7:00 a.m.  Yard waste (anything that grows), leaves, pine straw and small trees or grass clippings must be placed in the green roll-out container, or contained in loads that can be handled by one collector.  Yard waste should be free from broken glass or other sharp objects.  Also, household waste should never be mixed with yard waste.  Tree limbs may be excluded from the bundling or packaging requirement if they are cut in 4-foot lengths and stacked with the blunt ends placed adjacent to and behind the curb or in front of ditches.  The large piles of yard waste will be picked up on the designated day for your area.  Feel free to call for your scheduled day (641-4235).

Recyclables:  Place recyclables in the red container and at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your assigned collection day of Thursday or Friday.  Items accepted for recycling are Category 1 and 2 plastic containers; brown, green and clear glass; corrugated cardboard; aluminum cans, newspapers and old telephone books. Motor oil should be put in gallon jugs with screw on lids.

Food or other household waste should not be placed in the red recycling bin.

Reminder:  All household, yard waste and recycling containers should be pulled from the curb after collection.
