The purpose of the Electric Utility is to provide reliable electric service to Tarboro's 11,800 electric customers at a reasonable cost. In addition, the Division performs repair and maintenance to the electric system and constructs new facilities to extend electric service to new customers. The Electric Utility also performs installation and maintenance of street lights and area lights.
