Heritage Hospital
High tech meets high touch in Heritage Hospital, a beautiful 127-bed acute care facility with spacious private rooms, a full range of services, and the latest in medical technology.
Special hospital features include a Same Day Surgery Center, a Skilled Nursing Unit, a state-of-the-art Critical Care Unit, a Level II Progressive Care Nursery for high risk infants, and Special Beginnings, a family-oriented birthing center that provides privacy and convenience for labor, delivery and recovery in an attractively decorated suite. A physician-staffed emergency department is also open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Heritage offers a complete outpatient program with sophisticated imaging in ultrasound, nuclear medicine, MRI and CT, as well as cardiopulmonary, physical therapy services, and a certified pathology laboratory. With over 20 specialities represented on the hospital's medical staff, the wide range of surgical specialties includes urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, podiatry, otolaryngology, peripheral vascular and orthopedic procedures.
Clinics
There are three medical clinics with offices in close proximity to the hospital. Tarboro Clinic, P.A., is a large multi-specialty group offering services in internal and family medicine, pediatrics, general and vascular surgery, ophthalmology and optometry and clinical psychology. The Tarboro Women's Center specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and Regional Orthopedics offers full orthopedic services.
