Tarboro Artist Guild Paints the Town

August 6- September 25

An art exhibit - "Painting the Town" - focusing on the Town's 250th Birthday Celebration - is on display in the Hobson Pittman Memorial Gallery, Blount-Bridgers House.  The exhibit features the work of local artists who are members of the Tarboro Artist Guild.  The artists' works  depict the essence of Tarboro.

A  painting of the Tarboro Town  Common by Chris Wilson  has been selected for reproduction in an art poster format.  These art posters, signed by the artist,  sell for $50 and are available at the Blount-Bridgers House.  Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Edgecombe County Arts Council.

The exhibit, sponsored by the Arts Council and the Town's 250th Celebration Committee,  will continue through September 25.
