Trip to NC Musuem of History

Lets go have lunch at the museum!  On Wednesday March 17th we will be going to the NC Museum of History to hear author Suzy Barile speak, the topic will be: 

History à la Carte: Undaunted Heart:
When former governor David Swain’s daughter Ella married Union general Smith Atkins, not everyone in the state rejoiced. Barile, the couple’s great-great-granddaughter, shares excerpts from Ella’s letters that reveal a loving marriage that transcended differences and scandal.

After her lecture we will then tour the museum to see their many exhibits and artifacts, bring your lunch; beverages provided. We will leave at 10:30 a.m. and the cost will be $2.00. If interested please register at the front desk by March 10th, space is limited.
