The Tarboro Police Department has won the NC Traffic Safety Community Award three consecutive years for having the best traffic safety rating in the state for populations 10,000 to 30,000. The award is given by the Carolina Motor Club Foundation for Traffic Safety.

Our agency is a proactive, community-oriented agency that is always searching for better ways to improve our goal of serving our citizens to ensure their safety and toward improving quality of life concerns throughout the entire community.
