SpringFest Street Fair & Food Truck Rodeo
April 4th from 10:00am-2:00pm

Celebrate the season with a fun-filled festival of health and wellness! Highlights include live music, street dancing, entertainers, bouncers, face-painting, arts and crafts vendors, health checks, and giveaways. Additionally, a diverse array of food trucks will be there fill any of your food cravings. Make sure you stop by the first Tarboro Farmers' Market of the year from 8-12 and build up that appetite by joining the Tarboro Community Outreach 5K Race (9 at Howard Memorial Presbyterian Church)!

Happening on the Common
May 16th from 10:00am-5:00pm

An eclectic mix of arts and crafts vendors take over the Town Common for this annual crowd-pleaser. From paintings and photography to Christmas ornaments, calligraphy, and artisan soaps, you'll find it all here! Musical and entertainment acts join in on the fun, as do plenty of food trucks. So, what are you waiting for? That perfect piece is just waiting to be found!

Symphony on the Common

Celebrate summer in style as the North Carolina Symphony treats our community to a wonderful performance under the stars. Bring a lawn chair, food, and friends to make the most of this magical night. There's no better place to hear the symphony than on our idyllic town common, and no better price out there than free!

July 4th Celebration & Fireworks
July 4th from 6:00pm-9:00pm

Join us at Braswell Park as we celebrate America's independence! There will be live music, contests, bouncers, face-painting, rides, and much more. Stop by the food trucks to whet your appetite, and then stick tight for a magnificent fireworks display starting around 9!

Downtown Live! Summer Music Series
3rd Thursday of the month, June-September

Dance and sing along to your favorites at Courthouse Square in Downtown Tarboro! Popular guests include Trainwreck, Hip Pocket, Steve Owens & the Summertime Band, and Liquid Pleasure. Food trucks and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for the whole concert. Stop by and show off your best moves!

National Night Out Celebration
August 6th from 6:00pm-8:00pm

The Tarboro Police Department loves to build connections in our community! They'll be setting up activities, food, and live music on the town common and would love to see you there. Come stop by to see what they do - and how they can serve you!

The Wall that Heals Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica
October 17th at 9:00am-October 20th at 2:00pm (Open 24 hours)
Tarboro is honored to host this gripping tribute to those who served in the Vietnam War. Visitors have the opporunity to experience a 3/4-scale wall rising above them as they read the names of those who fought for our country. Name rubbings of individual servicemembers' names are permitted. Make sure to attend as Tarboro is the Wall that Heals' only stop in North Carolina this year.

Tarboro's Hometown Homecoming Event
October 18th-October 20th, read below for specific times!
Tarboro is incredibly-proud of its football team, the reigning state champions! Come watch the Tarboro Vikings dominate Jones Senior High at 7:00 on Friday night in its annual homecoming game. On Saturday, head downtown for a homecoming parade at 10:00am and stick around for the Town Common Reunion  from 10:00am-2:00pm. The Mix & Mingle on Main goes from 5:00pm-11:00pm and features a lively evening of music, food trucks, and beer. In the morning, head to the town common for a Sunday service from 10:30-12:00.

Downtown Trick-or-Treat on Main Street
October 31st from 10:00am-2:00pm & 3:30pm-5:00pm
Grab your best costume and head downtown at 10:00am to receive either a trick - or a treat - from our merchants! Come back at 3:30pm for the Stations of the Curse, a tour of the Tarboro Historic District's most spooky and spectacular houses!

Heroes & Hops Weekend
November 9th at 12:00pm-November 10th at 5:00pm
Come enjoy a weekend of hardcore cycling topped off with cold brews and out-of-this-world bluegrass! On Saturday at 12:30, cyclists will start off on 30, 50, and 75-mile routes through the gorgeous (and flat!) Edgecombe County countryside. Proceeds from the ride go toward honoring our servicemen at the Edgecombe County Veterans' Military Museum. Following the ride will be an award show and the Main Street Mixer celebration, with open-hours at Tarboro's craft breweries and special performances. Stick around for Sunday morning cooldown circuits and a criterium around Tarboro's town common at 12:00pm. Then the fun really starts at 12:30pm with Tarboro's annual Brewgrass Celebration!

Tarboro's Brewgrass Celebration

Let's face it: beer makes everything better! Add in some bluegrass and it's basically heaven. Spend a day relishing the best of both at Tarboro's Riverfront Park from 12:00pm-5:00pm! The Cardinal Family Singers will take on the stage, with more performers on the way. Craft brewers include BBD Brewing, Koi Pond, Pitt Street, Uptown, HopFly, and our very own Tarboro Brewing Company! Grab a lawn chair and bring a crowd to this family-friendly event!

A Tar River Christmas & Parade
December 4th-8th, read below for specific times!
Embrace the excitement of Christmas during this five-day event! Join us Wednesday night for a performance by the North Carolina Symphony at Edgecombe Community College. The fun continues Thursday night in downtown Tarboro with a tree-lighting, caroling, kids' activities, and free carriage rides! Friday and Saturday nights bring plenty of Christmas shopping followed by the Historic Tarboro Candlelight Tour of Homes. Finish the event on Sunday with the annual Christmas Parade at 2:00pm.

New Year's Eve Downtown Countdown & Ball Drop
December 31st from 7:00pm-12:00am
Join us for an exciting night as we ring in a new year! The fun begins at 7:00pm with the kids' ball drop and is followed by live music at 9:00pm by Liquid Pleasure. There will be a downtown countdown, laser light show, and confetti blast at midnight to celebrate the start of 2020! Food vendors and both hot and cold drinks will be available. No outside alcohol, please!
